Team Cone’s Tallahassee Spring Rib Sale raises $13,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Team Cone’s Tallahassee teammates hosted their annual Fall Rib Sale to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at their Tallahassee warehouse. Because of the generosity of those who participated, the company raised over $13,000 dollars in charitable donations. 2022’s Rib Sales have broken company records – in fact the only fundraiser that raised more money than this Rib Sale was the Spring Rib Sale in Tallahassee, with both sales raising the most money in the history of the events. With both events and accompanying donations, Team Cone is close to their 2022 St. Jude fundraising goal of $40,000.

“Our team stepped up to the plate and hit a home run for St. Jude,” said Steve Beckwith, Cone Distributing’s Vice President of Operations. “Time after time, we are proud and thankful that our team, our suppliers, and our community all stand up to help us fundraise for this great charity.” Team Cone’s Area Sales Manager Kenny Kinsey was grateful he had so much help. “I know I can always count on my teammates to step up and help with this event,” Kinsey said.

“We have to thank all of the people who helped us with this event, Kim Boyer, Don Buie, Mike Faulkner, Kyle Barnes, Chris Yates, Stephen Beasley, Jim Anderson, Dan Waldman, and Steve Verhage. We also thank our company’s president, Mr. Doug Cone, for buying the meat for us to sell. Special thank yous to Wakulla County Sheriff Jared Miller, Mack’s Meats,  Centennial Bank, Dux’s Discount Liquor, Miller’s Tree Service, Callaway Auto, Residential Elevator, and Terri Fort of the Shell Point Community for all their help and contributions.”

The Fall Rib Sales in Ocala and Tallahassee are part of Team Cone’s annual company-wide fundraising goal to make an impactful donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Team Cone hosts two Rib Sales in both Ocala and Tallahassee, one sale in the Fall and one in the Spring. The global pandemic has presented new challenges to Team Cone’s event-based fundraisers, but the team remains committed to helping St. Jude and other charities fulfill their mission. The beer distributor continues to host safe events and fundraising drives to help raise funds for St. Jude and other charities in accordance with one of their Core Values: “Giving Back with Caring.”

Team Cone’s Spring Rib Sale raises over $17,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Team Cone hosted their annual Fall Rib Sale to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at their Ocala warehouse. Because of the generosity of those who participated, the company raised $17,340 dollars in charitable donations. 2022’s Fall Rib Sale is the company’s best Rib Sale fundraiser yet – breaking the company’s donation record (previously set by the 2022 Spring Rib Sale) and selling 450 ribs along with several generous community donations.

“We had a great turnout this year,” said Charlie Ingrilli, Cone Distributing’s Vice President of Sales. “We have to thank all of the people who helped us with this worthwhile event, starting with the cooks: Matt Brady and the Brady family, Eric Bozeman, Mike Burdett, Clarence Thomas, John Finch, Brian Smith, Hunter Spink, and our team’s friends and family. Also, we need to thank those who helped set up and tear down: Clarence Thomas, Rose Romero, Hunter Spink, Jeff Hess, John Finch, and Ty Chatterton. We also thank our company’s president, Mr. Doug Cone, for buying the ribs for us to sell.”

The Fall Rib Sale is the second Rib Sale the company hosts each year and a part of Team Cone’s annual company-wide fundraising goal to make an impactful donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The global pandemic has presented new challenges to Team Cone’s event-based fundraisers, but the team remains committed to helping St. Jude and other charities fulfill their mission. Team Cone’s Tallahassee Spring Rib Sale raises $13,500 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Team Cone’s Tallahassee teammates hosted their annual Spring Rib Sale to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at their Tallahassee warehouse. Because of the generosity of those who participated, the company raised over $13,500 dollars in charitable donations. 2022’s Rib Sales have been broken company records in Ocala and Tallahassee, with both sales raising the most money in the history of the events. With both events and accompanying donations, Team Cone has raised over $26,500 to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“We were blown away again by the teamwork and generosity of our community,” said Steve Beckwith, Cone Distributing’s Vice President of Operations. Team Cone’s Area Sales Manager Kenny Kinsey was grateful he had so much help.

Team Cone donates over $70,000 for St. Jude in 2021

Ocala- and Tallahassee-based beer distributor Cone Distributing (Team Cone) combined forces with community members throughout the company’s 22-county footprint to give over $70,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

In an especially challenging year, Team Cone set a goal to fundraise $30,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They exceeded their goal by over 100%.

“We knew we wanted to continue living out our Core Value of giving back with caring, but we knew with COVID concerns we also had to cancel indoor, in-person events,” says Steve Beckwith, Team Cone’s Vice President of Operations. “Our team, our suppliers, and our community came through huge for us in making another impactful donation to this amazing organization.”

2021 marks the 13th year that Team Cone has hosted events and community activities throughout the 22 counties they serve to make a large donation to the hospital.  Team Cone’s business partners collect funds, make donations, or work to support the company’s annual drive for St. Jude. In those 13 years, Team Cone and their community have together raised $471,908 for the nonprofit hospital.

Planning and progress are already underway for Team Cone’s 2022 St. Jude fundraisers.  The company’s goal this year is to continue their legacy of community contribution by continually giving back with caring.

Team Cone Ocala Fall Rib Sale raises over $11,000 for St. Jude

Team Cone is excited and proud to announce that our Tallahassee Team’s Fall Rib Sale earned $9,665, all of which will be added to the company’s 2021 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital! The Tallahassee

“This was definitely the best rib sale fundraiser yet! We’re glad to double last year’s total and help St. Jude,” says Kenny Kinsey, Team Cone Area Sales Manager and organizer of the Tallahassee Fall Rib Sale. “We couldn’t have had such a great event without all of the fine teammates who helped: Kyle Barnes, Chris Yates, Mike Faulkner, Teddy Brown, and Steve Beckwith.” Kenny is ready to begin planning 2022’s Rib Sales, hoping to continue to make a difference and help Team Cone with their St. Jude donation.

After the Tallahassee Rib Sale, Team Cone has collected over $34,000 to donate to St. Jude in 2021, and the company still has two events remaining for the year – the Tallahassee Bingo Tournament on November 7th and the Ocala Golf Tournament on December 12th.

Team Cone TUESDAY Hurricane Dorian update

In order to keep our teammates out of a potentially dangerous hurricane or its associated severe weather, Team Cone is adjusting our schedule for September 1-3, 2019.

While we are still uncertain the path that Hurricane Dorian will take, we would rather be prepared and keep our teammates safe and prepared.  The safety of our teammates is our first priority. To keep our teammates out of some potentially dangerous weather, so we will be working a day ahead this week.

The planning and management team met this afternoon, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 concerning the issues presented by Hurricane Dorian. The primary focus of the leadership at Cone Distributing is the safety and well-being of the members of Team Cone and their families. Accordingly, the plan is to shut down ALL operations on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Again, both Ocala and Tallahassee facilities will be closed tomorrow, September 4th, 2019. Cone Distributing will reopen and resume operation on Thursday, September 5th at both our Tallahassee and Ocala facilities. 

(Please note: due to Department of Transportation regulations, if wind speeds grow too great, then our trucks cannot operate on roads and highways.)

Our team is monitoring the storm very closely, and while we do not want further changes to the schedule, if the hurricane shifts, then we will make changes for the safety of our team.

We will do our best to communicate these changes to our teammates and to you, our customers.  Please monitor this post or our social media channels as the hurricane continues to move towards the mainland United States.  We will post information as the situation evolves and changes to affect our service.  Our aim is for service changes to be minimal.

Our sales teammates will be visiting Monday stops on Sunday and normal Tuesday stops on Monday.

If your business is a normal Monday stop, then our teammates will visit on Sunday, September 1st.
If your business is a normal Tuesday stop, then our teammates will visit on Monday, September 2nd.

Your account manager will be able to tell you when your order will be delivered.  (Please note: due to Department of Transportation regulations, if wind speeds grow too great (i.e. hurricane conditions), our trucks cannot operate on roads and highways.)
