Team Cone’s Tallahassee Spring Rib Sale raises $13,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Team Cone’s Tallahassee teammates hosted their annual Fall Rib Sale to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at their Tallahassee warehouse. Because of the generosity of those who participated, the company raised over $13,000 dollars in charitable donations. 2022’s Rib Sales have broken company records – in fact the only fundraiser that raised more money than this Rib Sale was the Spring Rib Sale in Tallahassee, with both sales raising the most money in the history of the events. With both events and accompanying donations, Team Cone is close to their 2022 St. Jude fundraising goal of $40,000.

“Our team stepped up to the plate and hit a home run for St. Jude,” said Steve Beckwith, Cone Distributing’s Vice President of Operations. “Time after time, we are proud and thankful that our team, our suppliers, and our community all stand up to help us fundraise for this great charity.” Team Cone’s Area Sales Manager Kenny Kinsey was grateful he had so much help. “I know I can always count on my teammates to step up and help with this event,” Kinsey said.

“We have to thank all of the people who helped us with this event, Kim Boyer, Don Buie, Mike Faulkner, Kyle Barnes, Chris Yates, Stephen Beasley, Jim Anderson, Dan Waldman, and Steve Verhage. We also thank our company’s president, Mr. Doug Cone, for buying the meat for us to sell. Special thank yous to Wakulla County Sheriff Jared Miller, Mack’s Meats,  Centennial Bank, Dux’s Discount Liquor, Miller’s Tree Service, Callaway Auto, Residential Elevator, and Terri Fort of the Shell Point Community for all their help and contributions.”

The Fall Rib Sales in Ocala and Tallahassee are part of Team Cone’s annual company-wide fundraising goal to make an impactful donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Team Cone hosts two Rib Sales in both Ocala and Tallahassee, one sale in the Fall and one in the Spring. The global pandemic has presented new challenges to Team Cone’s event-based fundraisers, but the team remains committed to helping St. Jude and other charities fulfill their mission. The beer distributor continues to host safe events and fundraising drives to help raise funds for St. Jude and other charities in accordance with one of their Core Values: “Giving Back with Caring.”

Team Cone’s Spring Rib Sale raises over $17,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Team Cone hosted their annual Fall Rib Sale to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at their Ocala warehouse. Because of the generosity of those who participated, the company raised $17,340 dollars in charitable donations. 2022’s Fall Rib Sale is the company’s best Rib Sale fundraiser yet – breaking the company’s donation record (previously set by the 2022 Spring Rib Sale) and selling 450 ribs along with several generous community donations.

“We had a great turnout this year,” said Charlie Ingrilli, Cone Distributing’s Vice President of Sales. “We have to thank all of the people who helped us with this worthwhile event, starting with the cooks: Matt Brady and the Brady family, Eric Bozeman, Mike Burdett, Clarence Thomas, John Finch, Brian Smith, Hunter Spink, and our team’s friends and family. Also, we need to thank those who helped set up and tear down: Clarence Thomas, Rose Romero, Hunter Spink, Jeff Hess, John Finch, and Ty Chatterton. We also thank our company’s president, Mr. Doug Cone, for buying the ribs for us to sell.”

The Fall Rib Sale is the second Rib Sale the company hosts each year and a part of Team Cone’s annual company-wide fundraising goal to make an impactful donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The global pandemic has presented new challenges to Team Cone’s event-based fundraisers, but the team remains committed to helping St. Jude and other charities fulfill their mission. The beer distributor continues to host safe events and fundraising drives to help raise funds for St. Jude and other charities in accordance with one of their Core Values: “Giving Back with Caring.”

Cone Distributing’s Ocala Charity Golf Tournament raises $55,000 donation to local charities

Ocala- and Tallahassee-based beer distributor raises donation to local charities from golf tournament

The family and friends of Cone Distributing (Team Cone) played their hearts out at a round of golf on August 21st and from donations and fundraising, the beer distributor made $55,000 to donate to local Ocala charities.

Team Cone would like to thank all the members of their community that volunteered, their spouses and significant others who donated their time to this event and those members of the community who came out to support their fundraising efforts. Team Cone extends a special thank you to all business partners, suppliers, Team Cone Teammates, and retailers who helped make our annual golf tournament such an impactful success.

With this event, Team Cone was able to donate $30,000 to His Compassion Food Bank, $10,000 to Voices of Change Animal Rescue (VOCAL), and $15,000 to Interfaith Emergency Services.

“Selecting these charities was done by consensus of our teammates,” says Team Cone president and CEO Douglas P. Cone, Jr. “All three organizations are very worthy and being able to help them with these donations is fulfilling our company’s Core Value of giving back with caring.”

As Mr. Cone alluded, Team Cone’s annual Charity Golf Tournament is part of the company-wide Core Value to “Give Back With Caring.”  The beer distributor hosts events and fundraising drives each calendar year to help raise funds for charities like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and charities local to Ocala and Tallahassee communities.

Fresh off the heels of their record fundraising for St. Jude Rib Sales,  Team Cone’s Ocala  Team is dealing the cards again to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with their annual Poker Tournament!

Fresh off the heels of their record fundraising for Tallahassee’s St. Jude Rib Sale,  Team Cone’s Tallahassee Team is hosting an afternoon of Bingo on June 26th to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Team Cone Spring Rib Fest raises over $5000 for charity

Cone Distributing (Team Cone) is proud to announce that their 2019 Spring Rib Fest earned $5,660 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Team Cone’s Rib Fest is an employee-run event that involves teammates selling tickets for slabs of ribs and proceeds being donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Ribs are then cooked up and teammates come to pick up the ribs at Martin’s Yamaha in Ocala.

In 2018, Team Cone Rib Fest Coordinator Ben Whiting noticed that the event would routinely bring in between $4000 and $5000 for St. Jude. After a discussion with Team Cone management, he decided to organize the event twice each year.

Whiting says that he is grateful for all of the help and all of the money the company is able to raise for St. Jude Children’s Hospital:

“I would like to say thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s spring event. Special thanks to Steve Beckwith, Charlie Ingrilli, Clarence Thomas, John Finch, Hunter Spink, Ty Chatterton and the entire Brady family for all their help. We raised $5660.00 making this our largest Ribfest yet.”

Each year, Team Cone raises money with the help of local businesses across the 22 counties in the state of Florida and makes a large donation to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the conclusion of the year.

Team Cone’s fundraising goal for 2019 is $75,000 to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
